Nepal

As your flight approaches Kathmandu, all eyes are focused on the Himalaya off to one side of the plane.  On the flights departing Kathmandu, most of the conversation is about the Nepali people met along the trail.  It is this combination of mountains and people that have long made Nepal one of the most treasured adventure travel destinations on the planet.  Just as the Nepalis have influenced these mountains, cutting terraced fields along their flanks and cutting trails and roads through them, so too have these mountains carved the soul and character of these hardy, warm-hearted people.  Our Nepal treks aim to get you some of the best mountain views Nepal has to offer, and take you inside the homes and hearts of the Nepali people.  A decade long civil war begun in 1996 kept many visitors away, but with the return of democracy in 2007 life in the hills has begun to return to normalcy.
